The Energy and Water Guide “Partnerships and Perspectives of Arab-German Cooperation” was published right on time before the 8th Arab-German Energy Forum. The Guide contains project reports written by major German companies, illustrating the intensification and amplification of the German-Arab cooperation in the field of energy and water.
The energy transition is Germany’s pathway into a future that is secure, environmentally-friendly, and economically successful. Almost one third of German electricity is generated by wind, solar and biomass. By digitizing the energy transition with smart meters, the generation and consumption of energy will be brought more in line with each other, and potential for energy conservation can be developed. At the same time, the demand for energy is rapidly increasing in the Arab world. Renewable energies play an ever more important role for power generation. On the other hand, there are still huge investments in the Oil & Gas industry, especially in the GCC countries. With their experience and state of the art technology, German companies play a major role in this context and can offer a sustainable contribution to this development.
